Proverbs 31:28 (AMPC)
“Her Children rise up and call her Blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied); and her Husband boasts of and praises her”
2 Timothy 1:5 (NKJV)
When I call to remembrance the genuine Faith that is in you, which dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded is in you also.”
The Proverbs 31 Woman is willing to put herself out for her Family is her key quality. This affects her work, her loving concern for her Family, her wisdom, her kindness, and her watchfulness over her Loved ones. But after we read about the Proverbs 31 Woman, we almost give up trying to be the perfect Mom! Well, hear me out! There are NO perfect Moms, and as good as my Mom and yours were perfect to us, they really were not perfect. They just knew how to hide their imperfections well. I know that my Mother did it with the help of God! You're not supposed to be like your Mother; you're your own person with your own gifts and abilities; just like we could not be perfect like Christ, but we are to strive towards that perfection.
Just because you're not exactly like your Mom doesn't mean you're not a good Mom. Or perhaps your Mother was nothing to “write home about” … but just because she is/was that way, doesn’t mean that you have to be. God is with you to bring you to a place of peace about your past and a hope for your future. Jeremiah 29:11 – “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
It is important that we not compare ourselves to other women who may seem perfect. It's so easy to be critical of yourself and conclude that you're doing a terrible job as a Mother. You mean well but there are times when it doesn't come across so perfectly. Thank God that as Proverbs 31 Women, we do not have to be perfect, just be willing to allow Christ to work on us to get to that place where please Him.
Ladies, remember that when you Love your Children and teach them to do right, they will truly rise up and call you Blessed… i.e. “The Best Mom EVER!” Likewise, if you Love and respect your Husband, he will boast of you to others.

Proverbs 31:29 (NKJV)
“Many daughters have done well, but you excel them all.”
2 Peter 1:5 (AMP)
“For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding),”
Dear Christian Woman, do you want to be the best of the best? Here is a very exceptional woman. There have been many good and virtuous women, thankfully. But there have not been many like the virtuous woman of Proverbs 31. This description, composed by a King’s mother to identify the kind of woman her son the King should marry, is a detailed list of the marks of a perfect wife. This kind of woman earns the Praise of God and men.
This verse has the glowing and tender words of her Husband being grateful for having this kind of Wife. Having known this Woman intimately and personally for many years, he Praises her for the wonderful companion and helper she was and continued to be. He rightfully exalts her to a place of preeminence over all other women.
The detailed picture of this Wife overwhelms most women. They see that she excels in all areas, with amazing daily diligence, tireless industry, domestic foresight, business savvy, tailoring skills, decorating finesse, creative planning, sweet spirit, moral integrity, satisfied Husband, spiritual zeal, and happy Family – and they forfeit of even trying to be that perfect Wife! “It’s impossible to do all that”, they say. But IT IS possible, if a woman were totally committed to the goal of fulfilling the duties of a Proverbs 31 Woman, with the directive of our Heavenly Father through His Word, and through the strength of Jesus Christ, and with the help of the Holy Ghost.

Proverbs 31:30 (NKJV)
“Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised.”
Psalm 25:14 (AMPC)
“The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the LORD have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning.”
The Virtuous Woman whose heart is principled with the fear of God; that is the beginning of wisdom. A reverence of God’s majesty, and a dread of His wrath, is that fear which is the beginning of having the mind of Christ. The promises God makes to those who fear Him are so staggering that the summons to fear God and the command to hope in God are inseparable.
A Proverbs 31 Woman who fears the LORD will not run away from God to satisfy her longings and relieve her anxieties. She will wait for the LORD. She will hope in God. She will stay close to the heart of God and trust in his promises. The prospect of departing into the way of sin will be too fearful to pursue; and the benefits of abiding in the shadow of the Almighty too glorious to forsake.
No matter how beautiful a Woman is on the outside, if her heart is not right with God, is deceitful, because her inside is ugly and it camouflages the outside. There are many beautiful women whose beauty is short-lived, because their character is one that reveals how they truly are on the inside.
A Woman who lives Virtuously is a Woman to be commended. Here are just four reasons that a wise man chooses to celebrate the woman who fears the LORD. The reasons why he praises her:
1. She Doesn’t Fear Tomorrow’s Troubles – The devil dangles a threat of tomorrow’s troubles in front of her, but she glances up at the almighty God to receive comfort and instruction because she has reverent fear of God more that she is fears satan.
2. She Has Practical Wisdom - It’s no surprise that the woman who fears the LORD “opens her mouth with wisdom.” There’s a close connection between a practical wisdom and freedom from anxiety about the future?
3. She Is Strong & She Gives Strength - A Wife who fears the LORD increases her strength in God and increases the esteem of her Husband which in turns makes him strong.
4. She Will Learn from Christ how to Serve Others - The fear of the LORD is the impulse to wisdom, and rouses the mind to search for knowledge as for hidden treasure.

Proverbs 31:31
“Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works Praise her in the gates.”
Psalm 18:20 (NKJV)
“The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me.”
Proverbs 11:30 (AMP)
“The fruit of the [consistently] righteous is a tree of life, and he who is wise captures and wins souls [for God—he gathers them for eternity].”
What The Proverbs 31 Woman says to Women today will only inspire guilt and shame if we study the passage for a laundry list of to-dos, rather than for the spirit and motivation that drives her. That she shall be incontestably Praised, without contradiction, according to Prov. 31:31. Some are praised above what is their due, but those that praise her, give her of the fruit of her hands; they give her that which she has dearly earned and which is justly due to her; she is wronged if she does not receive the acknowledgement of her labor.
The fear of the LORD is the condition of all womanly, as well as of all manly, excellence. The Proverbs 31 Woman is a good example for all, even men. With all her good qualities she doesn’t lack anything needful; she is truly virtuous, devout, and fervent in all she does. She is guided and governed by morals and integrity and gives respect and reverence to God. This attitude will bring her Praise from her Husband and Children as well as those who honor and respect God. It is her heart for honoring the LORD with her life, and living with true wisdom, that God wants Women to imitate and follow the Proverbs 31 Woman, because the fruit of her hands is praiseworthy.
She shall share in the results of the work of her hands; show her respect — praise her in public for what she has done. A Woman who fears the LORD makes the highest and most outstanding type of Woman. A Woman distinguished for her modesty, meekness, and prudence, and other virtues, will engage affection and respect when people see the work of her hands and the kindness of her heart.
The LORD of Heaven praises His Virtuous Daughters, when they do well, and their works follow them to that glorious place by His gracious design, where they receive the rewards for their labors.
May the LORD help all Wives and Mothers in our midst to make this Virtuous Woman their pattern to emulate. How desperately we need such Women today, in the midst of a changing world - Women of spiritual and moral distinction, Women who earn the praise of man and of God, because they are bold enough to fulfill their God-given roles well, so that our LORD will be glorified in and through them.
